Hello and welcome to another blog post internet lovelies.
Myself and Sandhu spent the last week in the South, we visited Queenstown and stayed in Arrowtown. I finished school, so a trip away was exactly what the doctor ordered! It was such a beautiful trip, everywhere I looked I felt as if I was in a painting. Of course it is winter, so as you will see all of the mountain peaks are topped with snow, and it really does look glorious.
Sandhu and I had a fantastic time exploring the pretty city, just relaxing and doing a few fun things. It was the first time we had gone away just by ourselves so it was a really nice experience. Even though we now live together, it was still nice to have a change of scenery and just let it be us for a while.
Now, I am so sorry for the ENDLESS photos, but I just couldnt help myself. This blog once again is for the memories, so I wanted to show all of the best moments, so one day when I look back I can remember.
Lake Tekapo.
Sent a wee prayer in this church, it was surprisingly nice. Left me with warm fuzzy feelings.
Yummy juices on the way.
We tried to be creative, but just ended up looking a bit funny.
This is my Aunty and Uncles bach (or Crib) in Arrowtown. We are so thankful to them for letting us stay there, it was so relaxing and lovely.
I thought I took waaay more photos of Arrowtown, but cant find them. Love this town though, its so quaint and sweet.
On the way to Wanaka.
Looking smart in his new coat.
Puzzling World in Wanaka was so much fun, such a cool thing to do. I totally reccomend it!
I walked into the loo, and just could not bring myself to sit down, so went to the one next door which was more tame, with fishes.
This horizontal room was crazy cool. It did make me feel a little sick though.
MAD scientist. Pagal.
We tried to do the maze, but gave up after 20 minutes. Too difficult for us, so we left it to the kids haha.
Wanaka is so stunning.
For dinner we went to a diner, which as you can see is called "Arnolds Diner" The food was great, but I also loved it as Arnold is my dads name.
BEST HOT CHOCOLATE EVER. I honestly took a sip and was in shock. I never knew hot chocolate that wasnt made out of powder existed. wow.
This day was our 8 month celebration, it was a great day, and I was a very lucky girl.
Ice Bar! Such a cool (haha get it) experience.
Mocktails!!!
Then Sandhu surprised me with a trip up the gondola, which was both amazing and terrifying, as the Qtown one is soooo bloody high!
On safe ground we had a lovely, lovely buffet dinner, that was 100% the best thing ever. All of the food was so delicious, and I felt like I had to try everything.
Dont laugh, we fully filled our plates but it was so worth it.
Very happy night. Im a very lucky girl. I just want to quickly say, that I really hope everyone finds someone in life that looks after them as well as my man looks after me. I always dreamed of the kind of things he does for me, and I am forever grateful.
Best gelato, EVER!
We also visited the old Chinese settlement in Arrowtown. It was super interesting.
I treated myself to a little gift in memory of this trip. I bought a stunning little snowflake bead that basically sums up the holiday in a nutshell.
So there we have it. Sorry about all the photos, but I hope you enjoyed having a little insight into my life once again. Have a great week.
Until next time,
Lots of love and well wishes.
Lucia xxxx
