We have wanted to make cake pops for quite a while now, and with it being the holidays we thought it was the perfect time to get a bit messy and make ourselves feel sick.
It was super fun to have some time with my little sister who is growing up super quickly. She is 7 next month and I have suddenly realised that time goes so fast and what the hell am I doing wasting it. I think it's really important to spend quality time with people who matter to you, and who knows; in a few years I could be on the other side of the world, so I have to make the most of this precious time.
I found an easy wee cupcake recipe and we started our creations. I must admit they were not the prettiest things, because bloody hell they are difficult to make. But mmmm they smelt and tasted delicious.

The baking part involved a lot of flour in my hair, mixture around Lil's face, and egg shell everywhere... oops sorry mum.
Decorating is definitely harder than it looks, and wow they didn't look as brilliant as the ones I found online, but hey, we tried. It's the thought that counts right?
I will happily admit I am not the most amazing person to have in the kitchen but it's surprising how fun it can be. I dare you to have a go and send me a pic.
