At my school, year 13 means Leadership, power, balls, graduation and WACKY WEEK.
Since witnessing my first ever wacky week, I have been excited at the prospect of letting my creativity shine, getting dressed up each day for five days while having the other year levels smile, laugh or groan at my costume idea.
Wacky week is the pinnacle of year 13, it's the chance to not wear school uniform, get out the scissors, beads and glitter and be whatever or whoever you want to be.
Considering my excitement at the idea, I was not organised at all, And when I say not organised, I mean I literally woke up each morning and pulled a costume out of the hat. Wacky week was awesome fun, so I thought I would share some photos and memories with you all, out there in the wonderful world of the internet.
DAY ONE: WHAT I WANT TO BE WHEN I GROW UP.
Day one, I came as a tourist. But not just any tourist, the biggest looking loser ever. One of my teachers wouldn't even look at me, she just couldn't handle the absolute beauty that was farm socks, sneakers and a fisherman's hat.
I won best dressed for Monday though, which was a huge surprise. I think people must have voted because they felt sorry, and who can blame them. What a flamin' idiot.
DAY TWO: FICTIONAL CHARACTER
Pippi Long-stockings was in the house.
DAY THREE: TIME ERA.
Wednesday gave me the chance to dress up as a 1920's flapper girl and pretend I was dating Leonardo DiCaprio.
Me and my boy Charlie Chapman.
DAY FOUR: CELEBRITY DAY.
Like stars in your eyes I became singing sensation adele. Even though I didn't look identical, and can not sing at all, ( I sound like a cat choking) it was nice to dress up and look classy.
Celebrity day was probably my favourite as I turned into a major fangirl and took selfies with all my faves. Kate Middleton was no exception.
BY FAR MY FAVOURITE OF THE WHOLE DAY. I give to you, Harry Styles. I mean who can resist a man in skinny jeans and a member of the famous boy-band One Direction? Not me.
I mean come on, Sam did a pretty good job with the tats!
British rat pack. Cara Delevingne, Adele, Harry Styles and Amy Winehouse.
Me and the very fabulously orange JWOW. Hottie.
DAY FIVE: HOE DOWN THROW DOWN.
Rockin' the double denim was a blast. Sophie brought a bull whip which I must admit, I was pretty handy with, until I hit myself in the head with it. Trust me.
Cute Cowgirl with her sexy stud.
All in all wacky week was so much fun. It was so cool getting to see everyone dress up and become all sorts of things. Definitely a highlight of my high school life.
Until next time,
Lots of love
Lucia xxxx
