Ma and Me unleashed.

After a few rough weeks my mum and I decided we would treat ourselves by going away for a night. Hanmer Springs is a little hideaway town in the South Island of New Zealand. It is well known for the hot springs that many travel to, to experience. It's such a beautiful wee place that really makes me appreciate the country I live in. We had so much fun relaxing, eating waaaaay too much, chilling out in the spa, laughing and shopping till hearts were content. 

Back at home I am already missing the place, so decided I would make a post and share a few photos with you all. I am aiming to purchase a professional camera soon, so please bare with my Iphone pictures in the mean time. (: 

Our room at "Scenic View Motel" was so lovely. We had the Honeymoon suite so were spoilt with a flat screen TV, king sized bed and kitchen. 

Who needs to visit the hot springs when you can have your own spa?

So many hilarious moments. Mum and I jumped in and the water flew over the edge, we laughed as the cows mooed with us, and the "blower" put us in hysterics. Couldn't have spent the night with a better person.

I woke up to this beautiful view this morning. What a country! 

"No 31" I would highly recommend this restaurant. 

Fine dining. 

Dinner was unbelievable. Couldn't believe our eyes when everything turned up. 

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at " The Powerhouse" 

Mum had eggs Benedict.

I had a really yummy seafood chowder.

Mum took her first selfie as I drove home. 

My mum has been through a lot in her life. She desperately deserved a night away and I am so grateful to have her in my life. We had so much fun and spoiled ourselves rotten. 

A girls weekend would not be a girls weekend without shopping, so of course we hit the shops. Im IN LOVE  with my purchases. Cutest wee things ever. <3

Taking yourself away from a stressful situation and having a break is super important, even if it is just going for a walk and blasting your music or having a hot bath. You deserve to enjoy the little things in life. Take care of yourself and appreciate everything.
