Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Thanksgiving is a holiday I of course have never celebrated living in New Zealand, but it is something I have always thought about. I really like the idea of sitting around with the ones you love celebrating everything you are thankful for.. This blog post is my thanksgiving… I’m currently pretending I have a turkey in front of me and lots of trifle… Wooop Bring on Christmas..

Over the last few days I have really discovered that life is short. You never know what is going to happen and when your time may come to an end, therefore it has really hit home that you need to make the most of every living second you have. Part of that is looking at the things you have and focusing on the positive. Part of that is being Thankful..

This year I am thankful for many things but here are a few..

1.     I am thankful for my incredible family. I have great parents who support me through everything; I have three awesome siblings who I would do anything for and I have an amazing extended family who are so loving and caring and I am so grateful for them.
2.     I am thankful for my wonderful friends. My three best girls who are like my sisters.. My two new best friends who I am so happy I got to meet and don’t know what I would do without them now. I have recently met some incredible people who I have so much fun with and hope to be friends with for a long time to come. Friends are the family you choose and it is so important to have great people around you who inspire you. I am also thankful for the new man in my life that treats me how every girl deserves to be treated and makes me a better person.
3.     I am thirdly thankful for the opportunities I have had over the last few years.. Now that high school is over I look back and can only be happy with how it went. I was lucky to have so many opportunities that have gotten me to where I am today and I will always be grateful. High school has also given me support through teachers and amazing people who I will always be in debt of, many I know I will stay in touch with.
4.     I am lastly grateful for the life I have been given. Life is like a precious stone, you have to look after it. Things get tough.. I know that more than ever right now, but I am still grateful for the life I have. I have amazing people around me and I think that is the most important thing.

Take time to look at the bigger picture and think about what you are grateful for. Feel free to post a few in the comments.. There is nothing I like more than reading what you all have to say.

Until next time,
Lots of love,
Lucia xxxx
